The 27th edition of the Padrón Peppers festival celebrated in the village of Herbón commenced in the early morning hours with the traditional tractors parade.
The colourful procession travelled the two kilometres which separate the villages of Herbón and Padrón amid an enthusiastic crowd of tourists and locals ready for the party.
After the festival's opening speech, visitors enjoyed a taste of this year's crop of peppers served with corn bread, which is also typical of the region. Local bands and musicians provided the entertainment throughout the afternoon and evening.
